The fifth chapter of Nine, the diary journal of our protagonist! He was in for a wild ride, and the strangest conclusion to the day he could imagine.

Max accompanies his mother to her childhood home so they can wait with his aunt and cousin for her mother to die. They are at the mercy of the woods.

"Everything will be okay in the end. If it is not okay, then it is not the end."

A young man is tested, to his limits, by loss and by faith. In the end, when all else has failed, will he prevail?
